Arthritis Advocacy Priorities

1) Ensure that arthritis and joint disorder patients have access to all approved drugs and treatments so that each patient can receive the treatment which is best for him or her.

2) Ensure that arthritis and joint disorder patients have knowledge of all available treatments so that each patient can work in partnership with his or her physician to find the best treatment for that patient.

3) Ensure that arthritis and joint disorder patients are empowered to request and receive the treatments which are most likely to benefit him or her.

How we accomplish these priorities:

1) We raise money for a comprehensive media campaign about arthritis.  This campaign will raise awareness among the general public that arthritis is a serious and disabling condition.

2) We distribute information about various types of arthritis to patients. The best way to advocate for your treatment with your physician is to become knowledgeable about your disease and its treatments.

3) We communicate with state and federal lawmakers, policy makers, and insurers, both in writing and in person, regarding issues that impact arthritis patients:
