. . . hang on, I thought this was about arthritis, not surgically enhanced trout pouts!

Botox injections and their affects on sufferers of arthritis is just one of the studies into how to help relieve the pain of arthritis, particularly in the shoulder, hip and knee. Although early results are promising they haven’t really proved their effectiveness in relieving arthritis pain yet.

How Botox Helps Arthritis

When small qualities of botox are injected into specific muscles, it effectively blocks the bodies chemical signals which cause contraction of the muscles. Although these studies have a long way to go there have been some positive improvements reported by arthritis sufferers. The old treatment options like weight loss, exercise and medication are still, however, the focus of many arthritis treatment plans.
